Privacy Policy

Introduction

Complete Immigration Medical Centre ("we” or “us”) values the privacy of visitors to its website. This privacy policy is effective July 24, 2019; it summarizes what information we might collect from a registered user or other visitor (“you”), and what we will and will not do with it.

Please note that this privacy policy does not govern the collection and use of information by companies that Complete Immigration Medical Centre does not control, nor by individuals not employed or managed by Complete Immigration Medical Centre. If you visit a website that we mention or link to, be sure to review its privacy policy before providing the site with information.

Email and Electronic Communications 

 What we will use your email for: 

 1) In the case that you request your medical report, we will email a copy of the report to you at the provided email address. 
2) In the case of non-urgent abnormal results we will email a copy of the report to you so you may review it with your family doctor. You will also receive a phone call informing you that an email has been sent with medical results. In the event that you do not answer the call a voice mail will be left informing you the email has been sent. Please note that should you wish to review the results received by email with the Panel Doctor you may contact our office to book an appointment. 
3) Abnormal results which may be emailed to you will include ONLY non-urgent/minor chest x-ray results and kidney function tests which are mildly abnormal. HIV/Syphilis results will NEVER be sent by email. Urgent or critical results will NEVER be sent by email. 
 

Your responsibility:

1) You are responsible for informing us should your email or phone contact change.
2) You are responsible for providing your correct email address and phone number
3) You are responsible for checking your voicemail for messages left by us to inform you that medical results have been emailed to you.
4) You are responsible for checking your "Junk Mail" for emails from us

All results will be secured via Adobe with password and instructions for password given to each individual if needed.

We will use reasonable means to protect the security and confidentiality of information sent and received using email. However, because of the risks outlined below, we cannot guarantee the security and confidentiality of electronic communications: 

• Use of electronic communications to discuss sensitive information can increase the risk of such information being disclosed to third parties. 
• Despite reasonable efforts to protect the privacy and security of electronic communication, it is not possible to completely secure the information. 
• Employers and online services may have a legal right to inspect and keep electronic communications that pass through their system. 
• Electronic communications can introduce malware into a computer system, and potentially damage or disrupt the computer, networks, and security settings. 
• Electronic communications can be forwarded, intercepted, circulated, stored,or even changed without the knowledge or permission of the Physician or the patient. 
• Even after the sender and recipient have deleted copies of electronic communications, back-up copies may exist on a computer system.

 
PATIENT ACKNOWLEDGMENT AND AGREEMENT: 

You acknowledge that you have read and fully understand the risks, limitations, conditions of use, and instructions for use of the selected electronic communication. You understand and accept the risks outlined in this consent form, associated with the use of the services in communications with the Physician and the Physician’s staff.  You consent to the conditions and will follow the instructions outlined above. You acknowledge and understand that although encryption software generally be used as a security mechanism for electronic communications, it is possible that communications with the Physician or the Physician’s staff using the services may not be encrypted. You agree to receive communication from the Physician or the Physician’s staff using these Services with full understanding. 

 

What we do with your personally identifiable information

It is always up to you whether to disclose personally identifiable information to us, although if you elect not to do so, we reserve the right not to register you as a user or provide you with any products or services. “Personally identifiable information” means information that can be used to identify you as an individual, such as, for example:

  • your name, company, email address, phone number, billing address, and shipping address
  • your Complete Immigration Medical Centre user ID and password (if applicable)
  • any account-preference information you provide us
  • your computer’s domain name and IP address, indicating where your computer is located on the Internet
  • session data for your login session, so that our computer can ‘talk’ to yours while you are logged in

If you do provide personally identifiable information to us, either directly or through a reseller or other business partner, we will:

  • not sell or rent it to a third party without your permission — although unless you opt out (see below), we may use your contact information to provide you with information we believe you need to know or may find useful, such as (for example) news about our services and products and modifications to the Terms of Service;

  • as necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of , its users, or - others; this may include (for example) exchanging information with other organizations for fraud protection and/or risk reduction.

Other information we collect

We may collect other information that cannot be readily used to identify you, such as (for example) the domain name and IP address of your computer. We may use this information, individually or in the aggregate, for technical administration of our website(s); research and development; customer- and account administration; and to help us focus our marketing efforts more precisely.

Cookies

Complete Immigration Medical Centre uses “cookies” to store personal data on your computer. We may also link information stored on your computer in cookies with personal data about specific individuals stored on our servers. External data storage sites

We may store your data on servers provided by third party hosting vendors with whom we have contracted.

Your privacy responsibilities

To help protect your privacy, be sure:

  • not to share your user ID or password with anyone else;
  • to log off the Complete Immigration Medical Centre website when you are finished;
  • to take customary precautions to guard against “malware” (viruses, Trojan horses, bots, etc.), for example by installing and updating suitable anti-virus software.

Notice to European Union users

Complete Immigration Medical Centre‘s operations are located primarily in Canada. If you provide information to us, the information will be transferred out of the European Union (EU) to Canada. By providing personal information to us, you are consenting to its storage and use as described herein.

Information collected from children

You must be at least 13 years old to use this website and service(s). Complete Immigration Medical Centre does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this privacy policy

We reserve the right to change this privacy policy as we deem necessary or appropriate because of legal compliance requirements or changes in our business practices. If you have provided us with an email address, we will endeavour to notify you, by email to that address, of any material change to how we will use personally identifiable information.
